Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) students who could not log in or submit answers during the semester examination held in October 2020 will now be able to take offline exams from November 23, 2020.
Students of various undergraduate courses of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) were not able to either finish or submit final semester exams papers due to internet failures. Keeping in mind the troubles faced by students, they will now have the option to appear in MDU Offline Tests.

The decision was the result of several complaints filed by students regarding the problems faced in exam conduction. There were students who were pitching for the demand prominently.
According to the notification, this special chance shall only be availed by the students of BCA, BBA, BA (JMC), B.Sc. (Home Science/ Biotech/ B.Voc.), B.Sc. (Pass/Hons.), B.Com., B.Ped., and B.Ed. courses for both regular as well as distance programs.
MDU officials informed that a considerable number of students were not able to submit their exam online despite appearing for it and some failed to login because of the poor internet connectivity.

He added that the majority of such students belonged to the rural areas and the students were demanding a second opportunity. Many more students were not able to take the exams because of several other inevitable reasons.
Controller of Examination from MDU, BS Sindhu stated that over 500 candidates from eight districts will appear for the offline examinations. The online exam conducted initially was MCQs type, but the offline exam is mentioned to be descriptive in nature.
The student leader at MDU Deepak Dhankar addressing the decision said that a big relief has been given to the students, who had to suffer without any fault.
