The department of Information Technology (DIT), Manipur government has signed an agreement with KIIT-Technology Business Incubator (KIIT-TBI), KIIT Deemed to be University to establish Manipur Technology Innovation Hub (MTI-Hub).
The Manipur Technology Innovation Hub, MTI-Hub, has been decided to be set up with the KIIT-Technology business incubator, KIIT-TBI under the PPP model, which will promote entrepreneurship in Manipur.
The foundation stone of MTI-Hub was laid virtually by Shri Amit Shah, Hon’ble Minister of Home and Cooperation, Government of India, in the presence of Shri N. Biren Singh, hon’ble chief minister of Manipur.
Shri Nambam Deben, Director (IT), Govt. of Manipur and Dr. Mrutyunjay Suar, CEO of KIIT-TBI executed the agreement to establish Manipur Technology Innovation Hub.
According to the agreement, the government of Manipur will offer furnished 10000 sq.ft. built up space along with a part of operation cost to set up the MTI-Hub.
Both the department of information technology, DIT, government of Manipur, and KIIT-TBI will approach the other government of India funding agencies such as DST, MeiTY, MSME, and BIRAC-DBT, to further enhance the ecosystem development.
One of the most vibrant and dynamic Technology Business incubators in India, KIIT-TBI is a center of excellence, which will reach out to the East and Northeast regions of India and other various stakeholders to set up a sustainable incubation platforms.
Congratulating the team of KIIT-TBI for achieving a great milestone, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS, said that establishing MIT-Hub in partnership with the Manipur Government is an important accomplishment of KIIT-TBI.
Recently, the Delhi government launched a one-year teaching diploma course for engineering graduates and MBA degree holders. The one-year diploma course aims to increase candidate participation from professional backgrounds in the teaching system.
