On 24 July 2020, Mahindra Group launched a multi-disciplinary university in Hyderabad, Telangana. As per the latest draft, the university is keen on launching Schools of Law, Management, and Indira Mahindra School of Education for the 2021-2022 sessions.
The university will offer UG, PG and PhD programs and has scheduled to include Mahindra Ecole Centrale (MEC) School of Engineering in its sphere.
On the other hand, School of Media and Liberal Arts, as well as School of Design, will be open for admissions from the 2023-2024 sessions.
As of now, MEC offers a popular B.Tech programme of 4 years duration which is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.
At the launch event, Mahindra Group Chairman, Anand Mahindra, and now Mahindra University Chancellor, took this opportunity to address, “High-quality education has transformative powers for individuals and nations, alike.

Admission to B.tech programs is based on All India Rank allotted on marks scored in JEE Mains.
