Diana Award 2021: Lady Shri Ram (LSR) College and Jamia Millia Islamia two students have been awarded with Diana Award for 2021 in honor of advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Lady Shri Ram (LSR) College final year student Devanshi Ranjan has been awarded with Diana Award 2021 for her work to help underprivileged children in the current covid-19 pandemic.
As from Jamia Millia Islamia, Kaif Ali, a fourth-year student of Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) has been awarded with the prestigious Diana Award 2021 for her work to offer sustainable shelter to needy people, and help prevent the transmission of viruses in the country.

Referring to the award offered, the officials said "Ali designed a prefabricated sustainable shelter that would not only help reduce transmission of the virus but could also house refugees worldwide in the future".
Jamia Millia Islamia students, Kaif Ali's design has now been implemented in Lagos, Nigeria. The design has also been appreciated by the Government of India, the Commonwealth of Nations, and the United Nations as well as the top 11 emerging innovation start-ups solving climate action.
Devanshi Ranjan, a student of Lady Shri Ram (LSR) College said, "I found out that I will be honored with the Diana award on May 5”.
She further added,” I was extremely elated but couldn't share the news with anyone except for my immediate family till the commencement of the virtual ceremony on June 28".
Explaining her work, she added that under NGO Ladli Foundation Trust's 'Pathanshala' workshop, over 1000 Childers in the slums across New Delhi have been taught as for now with the help of various educational workshops.
Diana Award 2021 has been given to people of age category under 9 to 25 years who have done their fair share of work in making the world a better place. This year, over 400 people were conferred globally.

Referring to the award initiative, Tessy Ojo, CEO of The Diana Award said, "We congratulate all our new Diana Award recipients from the UK and all over the globe who are changemakers for their generation”.
