Several universities have cancelled their entrance examinations due to the rising impact of COVID-19 in the country. To ensure the safety of students, many engineering colleges which used to hold their own entrance exams will be accepting admissions on the basis of score obtained in JEE Main 2020 for the lined up academic session.

JEE Main Admit Card will be released 15 days prior to the conduct of the exam, as per the NTA notice. 

SRMJEEE 2020

SRMJEEE was cancelled by SRM Institute of Science and Technology for the year 2020-21, amid the coronavirus threat. The exam was scheduled to be conducted from July 30 – August 4, 2020. In an official notice the institute declared the cancelation of the exam and will accept admissions for B.Tech on the basis of Class 12 board examination results and JEE Main/ SAT scores. 

More than 2 lakh candidates compete for approximately 7000 seats through SRMJEEE every year. 

VITEEE 2020

VITEEE 2020 was scheduled to be conducted on July 28-August 02, 2020, but the exam stands cancelled as notified by Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Admissions will be granted on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2 or pre university examination marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology.

Although admissions will not be done solely on the basis of JEE Main 2020 scores but those who scored in JEE (Main) will be given weightage. As per an official statement, “The forms for providing the marks and JEE (Main) scores have already been provided in the VIT Website - www.vit.ac.in”

HPCET 2020 

Himachal Pradesh Technical University will not conduct HPCET 2020. Admissions into the participating institutes will be granted on the basis of marks scored by the candidate in 10+2 (Qualifying board exam), and JEE Main 2020 scores. The candidates who have qualified JEE Main 2020 will be eligible for direct admissions.

BCECE 2020

Through a notice Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) informed that BCECE 2020 entrance examination had been scrapped for admission in engineering and medical courses. 

BCECEB official Anil Kumar Siha shared that 38 government engineering colleges and 1 private college in Vaishali offering 10,000 seats in total will grant admissions through JEE Main scores.
