Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) 2020 is scheduled to be held in online mode (ie., IBT only) on October 29, 2020. Meanwhile, the authorities have issued detailed guidelines for appearing in IBT.
The online-proctored mode of KMAT 2020 was earlier scheduled for October 25 exam which was postponed. In view of Coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent nationwide lockdown, registration dates were delayed which reflected on the exam date as well.
Following which, even Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) approached for AI and Human Proctoring to exercise a remotely proctored exam.

KMAT 2020: Instructions for IBT Mode
KMAT 2020 candidates will be able to take exams from the comfort of their homes using a personal computer or laptop. However, students need to be aware of remote proctoring through AI and adopt ethical approaches towards appearing in the exam.

In case, students are found to adopt unfair means, the authority can use their discretion in disqualifying their candidature.
KMAT 2020: Requisites for IBT Mode
- Candidates need to have a laptop or desktop computer that remains in charging condition throughout the duration of the exam.
- Laptop/Desktop should have an operating system as Windows 7, 8, 10/Ubuntu LINUX (14.1 or 16) version.
- The laptop/desktop should have at least 4GB RAM, Intel Core i3 processor and minimum 100 MB of free space in it.
- Candidates have to find a corner from where they can take the exam. They need to well-lit so that the student’s face is clearly visible.
- There should bot be any noise in the background.
- Students should be informal while taking the test.

Instructions to follow during Exams
- Candidate needs to have KMAT 2020 admit card along with photo ID proofs before sitting for exams.
- Applicants cannot leave their position as everything will be recorded by AI-driven Human proctor. Such actions are considered a violation of rules.
- Candidates should not be talking, speaking or even taking breaks while taking the test.
- Candidates should not change the position of webcam while taking the test.
- Candidates can only use paper and pencil after verification from examiner. Other gadgets like calculator, tablet etc cannot be used.
