As per the reports, the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Inida, has issued guidelines for conducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), scheduled to be held on September 13, 2020. 

Also the authorities have released the advisory exam day guidelines notice to conduct the NEET examination in the state. 

The Health Department of Kerala does not want to make any mistakes that previously happened after conducting the KEAM 2020 examination on July 16, 2020.

To stop the spread of COVID-19, authorities have issued certain guidelines for NEET exam that are given below in the article.

NEET 2020 Exam Day Guidelines for Kerala

  • As per the guidelines, NEET aspirants who would be travelling to Kerala to appear for NEET exam 2020 from abroad or other states will have to arrive at least 14 days in advance to complete the quarantine period before the exam day. 

  • Parents accompanying the students should also follow the same rule for NEET 2020 exam.

  • Students or Parents who want to be exempted from the aforementioned mandatory stay-at-home need to provide a COVID-19 Negatice report to the Health Department on arrival. 

  • It must be noted that the test should have been conducte at least 96 hours prior to the travel.

  • Another important guideline is creation of  NEET 2020 Exam Centers  for the students coming from containment zones or those who haven’t completed their quarantine period. 

  • Kerala Health Department has also prescribed that a minimum of two-field-level workers (one for male, one for female) will be posted at each exam center in Kerala.

  • The Health Department further added that all the other COVID-19 precautions and guidelines that were followed during the KEAM exam will also be applicable for NEET 2020 examination.

  • In addition to this, special training would also be provided to the invigilators that include sanitizing them and also telling them how to conduct the exam with COVID prevention.
