KEA Begins Document Verification for Karnataka PGCET 2022 from Today: Check Details Here

New Delhi: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has begun the document verification process for the Karnataka Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) 2022, from today, January 3, 2023, onwards. 

Candidates will be required to undergo PGCET document verification depending on their ranks. Those with a rank between 1 and 200 must report today from 9.30 a.m. to 11 a.m. for document verification for MBA, MCA, M.E, M.Tech, and M.Arch courses.

With the document verification for GATE-qualified students seeking admission to postgraduate programmes concluded on Monday, January 2, the KEA has begun the document verification for PGCET-qualified candidates from today, which will be concluded on January 13, 2023. 

According to the KEA schedule, the document verification for eligible PGCET 2022 applicants seeking admission to MBA, MCA, ME, MTEch, and MArch programmes will be held accordingly. 

Further, the document verification will be completed all at once for all disciplines to which the candidate is eligible.

The PGCET 2022 document verification will take place at the helpline centres in Bangalore, Mysore, Belagavi, Kalburgi, Shimoga, Mangalore, Bijapur, Dharwad, and Devangere. 

The PGCET 2022 helpline centres have been set up for the document verification process at Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology Davanagere; PDA College of Engineering Aiwan-e-Shahi Area, Kalburgi; SECAB Institute of Engineering and Technology, Vijaypura, etc. 

Moreover, the PGCET 2022 helpline centres are also available at Angadi Institute of Technology and Management, Belgaum; Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheswra College of Engineering, Dharwad, Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management, Mangalore, PES Institute of Technology, Shimoga, Vidya Vardhaka College of Engineering, Mysore and KEA Bangalore. 

The examination authority has reserved slots according to rank for the candidates appearing for the document verification. The PGCET 2022 document verification will be held in four sessions: the morning session 1 from 9:30 am to 11 am, the afternoon session 1 from 2 pm to 4 pm, and the evening session 2 from 4:15 pm to 6:15 pm.

Prior to the start of the document verification process, the candidates are instructed to report to the helpdesk centre.

Candidates securing multiple PGCET 2022 ranks must report to the helpline centre on the designated date in accordance with their highest level in any field; additional visits are not necessary for additional ranks in other disciplines.

According to KEA, the general merit, reserved, and special category applicants may visit any helpline centre as scheduled for document verification. However, according to their ranks, non-Karnataka candidates, GATE qualified candidates, sponsored quota candidates, and part-time quota candidates would only need to attend the document verification in Bangalore.

When candidates arrive for document verification at the helpline centre, they will be expected to bring all necessary documentation in person, along with two passport-sized photos and one set of all original documents that have been attested by a gazetted officer.

Following are the list of documents that candidates must carry for the verification process. 

  • Printout of online application form
  • Fees receipt
  • Admit card
  • Class 10 Marksheet & Certificate
  • Class 12 Marksheet & Certificate
  • Qualifying degree marksheet & certificates of all semesters
  • Degree or provisional degree certificate
  • Study certificate signed by Block Education Officer (only for Karnataka Students)
  • Minimum 3 years work experience certificate (if any)
  • Sponsorship certificate (if any)
  • GATE scorecard (if any)
  • Parent's study certificate, parent's hometown certificate (if any)
  • Candidates claiming Hyderabad-Karnataka region reservations must submit a certificate (if any)
