Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has announced KCET 2020 Result today i.e., August 21, 2020. Students can access their results on the official website kea.kar.nic or karresults.nic.in.
The KCET 2020 Result was supposed to be released on August 20 but was delayed because of some unavoidable conditions. Karnataka Deputy Cheif Minister Dr. C N Ashwath Narayan had earlier confirmed the date at a press conference held on August 17, 2020 (Monday).
KCET 2020 exam was conducted on July 30 and July 31, 2020 amid COVID-19 pandemic and petitions filed by students and parents.
Over 1.94 lakh students appeared in the KCET entrance exam in 120 places at 497 centers across the state. 1,75,428 candidates appeared for Physics, 1,75,337 for Chemistry, 9,90% for Biology and 91.92% for Mathematics.
How to check KCET 2020 Results?
- Visit the official Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) website.
- Click on the link provided on the homepage for checking the results (It would be activated once the results are out).
- Enter your roll number along with other required details and submit.
- The results would be displayed.

The results are released in the form of a scorecard that can be downloaded by the students.

KEA officials stated that 80 students have scored full marks i.e., 60/60 in the entrance exam. In subject-wise score details, 80 students have scored full marks in Biology while 3 have scored full marks in Chemistry.
As per the details shared by KEA Officials in a Press Meet, the number of students who have qualified the KCET 2020 Results in the following streams is listed below:

Based on their KCET 2020 Ranks and scores, the qualified candidates are eligible to seek admission under their respective stream.
In the press meet, the Karnataka Higher Education Minister said that KCET 2020 Result Declaration has been made in the fastest record time. The evaluation work was done in 21 days which is a record in itself, earlier being 25 days.
As per the details shared by Karnataka Deputy CM C N Ashwathnarayan, a total of 1,94,419 candidates had registered for KCET 2020. 1,75,349 candidates had appeared for the exam of which 1,53,470 candidates qualified for engineering.
In the press conference on August 17, Ashwathnarayan also notified that there would be no fee hike due to the COVID-19 pandemic and flood situation in Karnataka. The seat-sharing ratio will also be the same as the previous years. Check KCET 2020 Seat Allotment
After the declaration of KCET Result 2020, KEA will conduct counseling in online mode before the last week of October. Candidates can appear for the KCET 2020 Counselling from the respective districts and do not have to visit Bengaluru for the same. The confirmed counseling dates are to be announced soon. Two rounds of counseling and one round of extended counseling will be scheduled for KCET 2020. No additional round of counseling will be provided. Transparency will be maintained and seat blocking will not be accepted for KCET 2020.
Since the results are already out, the next major step would be releasing the KCET 2020 Cut-offs. Factors such as the number of candidates who applied for the exam, the number of candidates who appeared, last year cut-offs, level of difficulty, and availability of seats would affect the cut-off lists for this year.
