New Delhi: Soon after the release of KCET 2022 Results, the students and parents were seen protesting against the authorities as CET 2022 ranks and PUC/CBSE Result 2022 are not reflected in the report card of candidates.

KCET 2022 Result: Students Protest Over Missing Rank in the CET 2022 Scorecard

As per the officials, the concerned parents and students who appeared for KCET 2022 complained that rankings for this session have only been released on the basis of CET score of candidates instead of both CET 2022 scores and marks secured in CBSE/PUC Exam 2022.

Students further complained that results are not included in the scorecard either. Due to this, many students have secured low rankings which will further affect their chance of getting admission to various colleges in Karnataka state

The KCET 2022 rankings should be based on the PUC/ CBSE Result 2022 and the performance of candidates in the Common Entrance Test (CET). 50% of weightage should be given to results while the remaining 50% is to be given to CET 2022 scores as mentioned by KEA.

Referring to the situation, Girish Kulkarni, a parent of students who appeared for KCET 2022 informed that the ranking released is unfair and will affect students who have prepared well for the entrance test and those who have repeated the exam this year.

As per the KCET 2022 Schedule , the verification process for all registered candidates will start on August 05, 2022. However, the concerned parents have decided to take this matter to High Court and request a stay order on the KCET verification process.

Ramya S, Executive Director of KEA said “ We have not made assurances that PUC marks will be considered for CET rankings as far as PUC repeaters are concerned. We will consider only the CET marks. If there are cases where PUC marks are considered, we will look into it".

As for KCET Result 2022 for non-repeaters, "Rankings will not be shown if the students’ registration number is entered (11 digits). The user has to enter the student’s PU number (6 digits) only then the rankings will be shown. This is the case for both state and CBSE students" he added.

In case this doesn't work, the exam authority will send a fresh link to all registered candidates where they can re-upload their mark sheet of class 12th results. The rankings of students will be further released on the official website in the next few days, the official said.
