Today Karnataka High Court will hear a plea seeking the postponement of the ComedK examination scheduled on August 19, 2020. Justice BV Nagarathna and Ravi Hosmani will be hearing the plea.

The PIL filed by advocate Abdulla Mannan Khan reads that this is not the right time to conduct COMEDK and it won't impact the future of the students if the exam gets postponed. 

National level examinations like JEE Main, CLAT, AIBE, NEET have already been deferred following the COVID-19 crisis. Looking at the same, there are many students opposing the conduction of ComedK 2020 and have even expressed their concern on Twitter.

One of such twitter posts reads, "We are not afraid of exams, but I don't want to carry that virus with me and infect my family members. If anything happens to my family, what will I do of the results #postponecomedk.”

The conducting body had earlier released a notice announcing the postponement of examination from August 1 to August 19, 2020. However, the sense of normalcy is still not achieved with the spike in cases across the country. To Read the official Notice Click Here 

The exam will be held in two shifts:

Shift 1

9:00 am to 12:00 noon

Shift 2

2:30 pm to 5:00 pm

COMEDK UGET is a state-level examination that provides admission to engineering and architecture courses offered by various institutes of the state. Around 20000 seats are offered for engineering courses. COMEDK 2020 admit card was released on August 11, 2020.
