New Delhi: KEA will hold the first round of UG-NEET counselling on 28 Oct and announce the final seat allocation for Engineering and Farm Sciences (agricultural, veterinary medicine, etc.) programmes.
The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will hold counselling for engineering seats (CET) and medical seats (acquired through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test [NEET]) concurrently in order to fulfil the deadline of November 30.
On October 28, the KEA will convene the first round of UG-NEET counselling and announce the final seat allocation for Engineering and Farm Sciences (agricultural, veterinary medicine, etc. ) programmes for the 2022–23 academic year.
On Friday, October 28, after 2 p.m., the seat allocation for engineering and other professional courses will be released, and October 30 is the deadline for making the first choice. The deadline for fee payment and entry ticket download is November 2. The deadline for admission of choice-1 candidates is November 3.
In the meantime, UG-NEET counselling is still going on, and the application deadline is on October 25. The UG medical seat matrix for the state quota is what KEA is awaiting. From October 27 to November 3, KEA will carry out online document verification for these candidates.
Engineering course counselling is typically conducted after the counselling for medical courses by KEA. However, because of the COVID epidemic, the National Testing Agency (NTA) postponed the NEET exam administration last year and released the NEET-2021 results in October 2021. This postponement of medical course counselling resulted in significant confusion. In order to prevent this year's uncertainty, KEA chose to offer CET and NEET counselling concurrently.
