  • Enter your JEE Main 2021 Roll Number, Password, and security pin.
  • Click the login button.
  • JoSAA 2021 Seat Allotment Round 2 will be displayed on the screen.

JoSAA Counselling 2021: Seat Allotment Options for Candidates

The candidates who will be allocated seats can select one among the following options- freeze, slide, float.

  • In case the candidates chose the freeze option, their seats will be locked.
  • Float option must be chosen if they are satisfied with their seat allotment but want to be reconsidered for further rounds.
  • In case the candidates want to accept the seat offered but also want to be considered for admissions to a higher preferred course in the same institute, they can choose the slide option.

The ministry of education has set up JoSAA 2021. It manages and regulates the joint seat allocation for admissions to 110 institutes based on JEE Main and JEE Advanced scores. This includes 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs, and 29 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs). The candidates are offered admissions to these institutes through a common platform i.e JoSAA.
