National Testing Agency (NTA) to conduct re-exam for two courses in the JNU entrance examination (JNUEE) on October 28, 2020.

JNUEE 2020 was previously held on October 6, 2020. Because of some technical issues found in the online entrance test, NTA announced that re-examination will be conducted for M.Phil and Ph.D. historical studies courses.

Around 700 candidates are expected to be reappearing for the JNUEE re-examination seeking admission to M.Phil and Ph.D. historical studies courses.

JNUEE 2020: Several wrong questions in the same question paper

Many students have reported that several questions in a single question paper were wrong in JNUEE 2020.

NTA released the answer key for JNUEE 2020 along with the candidates' response sheet last week and the issue was out broken.

After receiving many complaints from students, Jawaharlal Nehru University Students Union highlighted the error in the question paper as mentioned by other students and wrote a letter to the NTA.

The students union of JNU also mentioned that charging INR 1000 per question as a fee to challenge the answer key was restrictive because of which many students were not able to raise objections.

This high charge is the reason due to which many could not challenge the JNUEE 2020 answer key even though several questions were wrong, states the Students Union of JNU.

JNU Students union also stated that the university only allowed 2 days to download the answer key and response sheet.

The short time duration to download and challenge the answer key is the reason why many students were not able to raise an objection.
