New Delhi: NTA has released the official notification for JEE Mains 2022 on March 1, 2022 on its official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The conducting body has removed the 75% criteria from the minimum eligibility norms for this year.
However, for the JEE Mains Architecture & Planning course, aspirants will have to score a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and also 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam.
Interested candidates are advised to check their eligibility before filling out the JEE Mains 2022 Application form through the official portal. The deadline to submit online applications for the entrance exam is March 31, 2022.
JEE Mains 2022: Exam Schedule
The JEE Mains Exam 2022 will be held in two sessions - April (Phase 1) and May (Phase 2), 2022 by the conducting body, the NTA. Below are the dates of the exam.

JEE Mains 2022: Revised Eligibility Criteria
The revised eligibility criteria for JEE Mains 2022 Examination is mentioned below :
Appearance in Class XII: Candidates must have appeared for the class XII exam either in 2021 or 2022 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as per the main subjects.
Performance in JEE Mains: The top 2.5 Lakh successful candidates from the JEE Mains 2022 exam will be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced exam 2022.
Number of attempts: Candidates will be allowed to attempt the JEE Mains exam two times for two consecutive years.
JEE Mains 2022: Special Case Relaxation in Criteria for JEE Advanced 2022
- Applicants who have passed their XII class in 2022/2021 and registered for the JEE Advanced Exam 2021 but couldn't appear for the exam are also eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced exam this year.
- According to the official notification by NTA, this is just a one-time relaxation valid only for JEE Advanced 2022 due to the current COVID pandemic scenario.
The application forms for JEE Advanced 2022 will be available from June 8, 2022, at jeeadv.ac.in. Aspirants will be able to fill out the JEE Advanced 2022 registration form till June 14, 2022, as per the eligibility. The JEE Advanced 2022 exam is scheduled to be held online mode on July 3, 2022.
