Despite the odds, the National Testing Agency moved ahead with the conduction of JEE Main and NEET 2020 slated from September 1 to 6, 2020. However, the major challenge faced amid COVID-19 is the transport facility.

Due to the suspension of the local train services in Mumbai, students were perturbed about how to reach the examination centres. However, the Indian Railways ameliorated the students' concern and Railway Minister Piyush Goyal permitted the Indian Railways to run special suburban train services to ferry students to and from the examination centres.

Piyush Goyal announced the confirmation of local train services via his twitter post which read, "Supporting students appearing for NEET & JEE Main exam, Indian railways has permitted the students and their guardians to travel by special suburban services in Mumbai on the exam days."

It is to be noted that the special suburban services are to run for exam aspirants only, the general public will not be allowed to travel. Students have to show their hall tickets or admit cards to travel by Mumbai local trains. This will be used as a ticket or authority letter for entering the trains along with their guardians. Additional booking counters will also be opened at the important railway stations for the convenience of students.
