New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has begun the online application process for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main 2023) Session 1, from today, December 16, 2022. Aspiring candidates will be able to apply for the JEE Main 2023 examination on the official website @jeemain.nta.nic.in till January 12, 2023, up to 9.00 PM.

The 1st phase of JEE Main 2023 exam has been scheduled to be held from January 24 to 31, 2023, in 13 languages i.e. English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu, while the 2nd phase would be held in April 2023.

Candidates who register for JEE Main 2023 Exam will be able to download their JEE Main 2023 admit card in the third week of January 2023. In the first phase of JEE Main 2023, only phase 1 will be visible and candidates can opt for that. 

In the next phase, Session 2 (phase 2 of JEE Main 2023) will be visible, and the candidates can opt for that Session. According to the NTA Notification, the JEE Main 2023 application window for phase 2 will be reopened from February 7 to March 7, 2023. 

The NTA is going to conduct the exam for a duration of 3 hours. JEE Main Question Paper for B.E/BTech will have a total of 90 questions of which candidates must answer 75 questions carrying 300 marks.

According to the website, the JEE (Main) – 2023 Phase 1 for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.) is scheduled to be held on January 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31, 2023 followed by Session 2 on April 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11 and 12, 2023.

Step 1: Visit the website - jeemain.nta.nic.in

Step 2: On the home page, click on “JEE(Main) 2023 Session 1 Application”

Step 3: Register and proceed with the application process

Step 4: Fill up the form, pay the fee and submit the form

Step 5: Download and take a printout for future reference

It should be noted that the male candidates from General Category should have to pay Rs 1000 while female candidates will have to pay Rs 800 as JEE Main 2023 Application Fee. 

Meanwhile, the candidates who have appeared for board exams in 2020, 2021 and 2022 are eligible to apply and even those appearing in the upcoming year can register for the JEE Main 2023 Exam
