JEE Main 2022 question paper for Day 5 Shift 1 have a total of 90 questions. The candidates are required to attempt 75 questions. The questions are equally divided amongst Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. (20 MCQs and 10 Numerical based questions for each subject).

  • There is no choice in MCQs. However, for Numerical based questions, candidates have to attempt 5 questions out of the 10 questions given from each subject.
  • According to the revised JEE Main 2022 marking scheme, there is negative marking for both MCQs and NATs. 4 marks are given for every correct answer and 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer.
  • Inorganic Chemistry had a higher weightage in the exam as compared to Physical and Organic Chemistry.
  • Students found Mathematics to be lengthy.
