As per the reports, question ID 101678 has been dropped from JEE Main 2022 question paper for June 24, 2022 morning shift exam and Question ID 101070 has been dropped from the question paper of exam held in the afternoon shift on June 29, 2022.

Additionally, from the question paper distributed for exam held on June 29, 2022 afternoon shift, the exam authority has dropped two questions; Question ID: 501111 and Question ID: 501121. Due to this, the JEE Main 2022 Marking scheme will face a few changes.

JEE Main 2022: Changes in Marking Scheme

Explaining the marking scheme, NTA said, “If none of the options is found correct or a Question is found to be wrong or a Question is dropped then percent equivalence is to be established on the remaining questions whether attempted or not attempted".

According to the marking scheme for questions that have more than one correct answer, the exam authority will award full marks to students who have written either one of the correct answers. Candidates must note that full marks will only be given to those applicants in case of the correct answers.

From this year, a change has been made in it. Previously only mcq questions had negative marking. But from now numerical questions will also have negative marking. So the candidate will be marked accordingly.

“If more than one option is found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options. If all options are found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question,” NTA added.

Following the NTA's Policy, in case any question is dropped from the paper, the marks of candidates will be calculated on the basis of percent equivalent to the remaining questions. The dropped questions from JEE Main 2022 Question Paper will not be considered.
