New Delhi: JEE Main 2022 aspirants urged NTA for a considerable break between two sessions of the entrance exam. Of late, many students have been voicing their opinion on social media regarding the same along with the provision of four attempts.

The first session of JEE Main 2022 is currently scheduled to take place between the board exams. The exam has already been rescheduled by the NTA.

To avoid a clash with board exams, JEE Main 2022 exam dates for the April session were revised to be April 21, 24, 25, 29, May 1, and 4, 2022. While the dates for the second session are May 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 2022.

However, as per the students, there should be at least a 90-day interval between two JEE Main attempts as well as the engineering entrance exam to take place after the board examinations.

While the request from the students was for a long time, now it has taken social media by storm as their tweets with the hashtag #JEEMainsAfterBoards are trending on the microblogging platform. Students stated that the timetable should have been created considering students' need for JEE Main 2022 preparations

In support of the students, Cabinet Minister of Women and of Child Development and Social Welfare Department, Anila Bhendia tweeted, "Reducing the number of attempts of #JEEMains at the last moment and conducting it between the board exams without sufficient gap will drive students into a frenzy. I also request the authorities to listen to the rational demands of students.”

JEE Main 2022 Syllabus

Until last year, the first attempt of JEE Main was held prior to the boards, while the second attempt was held after the boards. This not only segregated the exams but also provided for a 2-3 month interval between JEE Main attempts.

Having two JEE attempts helps students to better prepare for and enhance their performance. Students say that they would not have enough time to prepare because of the board clashes and the 19-day interval between two JEE attempts.

"JEE Mains is an important exam that determines the future of lakhs of students. Uncertainty pertaining to these exams is a serious matter of concern for all of us. I urge the authorities to be empathetic towards the students of the nation", The National Students' Union of India (NSUI) member tweeted.

Meanwhile, JEE Main 2022 applications for Phase-1 are still ongoing, interested candidates can apply by today, April 5, 2022 (9:50 pm).
