NTA has successfully conducted JEE Main Paper 1 exam for the afternoon shift. For the JEE Main paper held from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the candidates reported the questions to be mostly of moderate difficulty.

As per the JEE Main 2020 Paper Analysis from aspirants, Mathematics was the hardest. Aspirants found the Chemistry and Physics section to be easy. As per reports, there were no technical glitches or paper cancellation at any of the exam centers.

  • Students found the exam to be time-consuming.
  • Mathematics was the most difficult section among the three according to students
  • Topics that had the most weightage in Mathematics was Vectors.
  • Chemistry was the easiest with more questions from Physical Chemistry while Physics was moderate in difficulty levels.
  • Students complained that the number of questions was more and therefore they could not attempt the questions as they had planned.

According to Himanshi a CBSE student, JEE Main 2020 Paper 1 for the afternoon shift was easy to moderate. He found Chemistry to be easy with questions based on NCERT. Mathematics was hard with questions from vectors. The difficulty level for Physics was moderate.

Another student, Himani, also found the JEE Main Paper 1 on September 2 to be moderate in difficulty level. According to her Chemistry was a bit tough and is expecting an overall score of 200 in the exam.

Aayush another CBSE student who is aiming for IIT Delhi found mathematics to be tough while Physics and Chemistry a bit easy for him. 

Anshul another student is expecting 98% in JEE Main 2020 Paper 1. For him, the paper was moderate with chemistry to be the easiest and mathematics to be difficult.

According to the speculations made and the previous year trends, the expected qualifying JEE Main 2020 cut-off will be 89 for the general category while reserved category candidates can expect a lower cut-off.
