JEE Advanced 2023: Delhi HC Seeks Centre's Response on Plea Seeking Relaxation for Students

New Delhi: Delhi High Court has issued a notice to central government and other respondents for their response to a plea seeking relaxation for candidates appearing for JEE Advanced 2023 Exam. The first hearing on this matter is scheduled to be held on March 23, 2023.

In the plea, candidates who have registered for JEE Advanced 2023 have requested the authority to offer them a chance to retake the exam. The plea came after students who appeared for the test in June and July 2022 faced many technical difficulties.

Due to this, they were unable to give their best effort in the test. Students were faced with problems like numerous computer crashes, lengthy periods of screen freezing, loading issues and unanswered questions, which caused a major decrease in their overall percentage.

Referring to the issues faced by students, the reports shared, "Students encountered similar technical issues during JEE Advanced 2022. For many of the students who experienced technical difficulties, it was their final try”.

“It was the final JEE Main test for students who finished Class 12 in 2020, and the final JEE Advanced attempt for students who graduated from Class 12 in 2021. Justice Purushaindra Kumar Kaurav has issued a notice and sought a response within two weeks”, the reports added.

In other news, the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) is now preparing to start the JEE Advanced 2023 registrations from April 30, 2023. All interested and eligible candidates can register for the exam by submitting their applications at jeeadv.ac.in.

Following the JEE Advanced 2023 Dates, the last date to register for the entrance exam is May 04, 2023 and applicants can submit their fee payment by May 5, 2023. After the registration process, the exam will be held on June 4, 2023 in various exam centres across the country.
