In a live interaction held today, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has announced that the IIT JEE Advanced exam will be held on July 3, 2021. The postponement has been attributed to the delay in JEE Main Exams. 

After a long wait, the JEE Advanced 2021 Exam Date has been announced by the Union Education Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ today. The revised eligibility criteria have been declared as well in the live session. Nishank has addressed engineering aspirants’ doubts on the IIT admission procedure in this session.

Board Exam Criterion Relaxed: Board Exam criterion has been released this year because of the ongoing pandemic. The minimum marks requirement i.e 75% Marks eligibility in Board Exams has been relaxed.

IIT Kharagpur to organise IIT Advanced 2021. Exam to be held on July 3, 2021.

JEE Main is the initial step to take admission in the UG programs across India, and after clearing this entrance exam candidates are to appear for JEE Advanced exam for admission in Indian Institutes of Technology. The ongoing pandemic situation has affected the plans for the academic year 2020-21. 

Candidates who could not appear for the JEE Advanced Exam 2020 conducted on September 27, 2020 will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2021 directly without clearing JEE Main 2021 exam. 

Moreover, candidates have been making several requests to the Joint Entrance Examination board for providing some relaxations in the JEE Advanced Syllabus and allowing multiple attempts in the eligibility test.

General Category candidates need to secure minimum 75% aggregate marks in Class 12 exams to be eligible for JEE Advanced exam while reserved category students are given relief and need to secure 65% in their +2 boards exam.

Usually, the JEE Advanced Exam date is announced in the month of September and is conducted in May next year. But Covid-19 effect has delayed the schedule and the JEE Advanced 2021 exam will be conducted by IIT Bombay this year.

On December 16, Mr Pokhriyal organised a webinar to address the engineering aspirants and announced the exam dates for JEE Main exam 2021 and will be conducted in four sessions in February, March, April and May. The best score in these sessions will be considered for preparing the merit list.

JEE Advanced examination is usually conducted in about 2 to 3 weeks from the declaration of JEE Main results.
