The Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ is all set to release the exam dates for the JEE Advanced 2021 exam on January 7, 2021. Nishank has posted regarding the same on his official Twitter handle.
After announcing the JEE Advanced 2021 exam dates, the Education Minister will also release the eligibility criteria to be fulfilled by the interested candidates for admission into Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
Earlier, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ had announced that the CBSE board exams 2021 for class 10 and 12 will be held from May 4, 2021, to June 10, 2021, and the results for the same will be announced by July 15, 2021.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education had informed that JEE-Mains for admission to engineering colleges will be conducted four times a year beginning from 2021 to offer more options to students to improve their final scores.
The first edition of the Joint Entrance Examination-Mains (JEE-Mains) will be conducted from February 23, 2021, to February 26, 2021, followed by the next rounds in March, April, and May.

About JEE Advanced
JEE Advanced is held every year by one of the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), including, IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Guwahati, IIT Delhi, and IIT Roorkee or Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore under the authority of the Joint Admission Board (JAB).
Students need to clear JEE Main before appearing for the JEE Advanced. The selected candidates through JEE Advanced can secure admissions to the following courses:
- 4-year Bachelors - BTech, BS
- 5-year BArch
- 5-year Dual Degree - BTech, MTech, BS, MS
- 5-year Integrated Masters - MTech, MSc, Dual Degree

The top 2.5 lakh rank holders of JEE Main are eligible to apply for the JEE Advanced. Students who qualify for the exam are only permitted to appear for the admission procedure of the IITs.
After qualifying in JEE Advanced, candidates need to appear for the counselling and seat allotment process of IITs held by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).
