Over 467 candidates of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2020 in Indore registered for free transportation to and fro exam centres amid Coronavirus pandemic.

As per Government regulations, the free conveyance was offered till 4 pm on Monday during JEE Main 2020 exams. Maximum registrations were from Khargone district were around 107 aspirants applied. On the second spot was Indore with 79 aspirants applying for free conveyance.

Meanwhile, the least registrations came from Alirajpur which had 11 candidates only. About 75 registered from Barwani, 71 from Jhabua, 51 from Dhabua and Burhanour 18.

The education department of Indore had set up separate control and monitoring rooms. These worked to check the proper functioning of free conveyance services. Even officials were deployed to check whether students were ferried for free or not from JEE Main exam centres

The control room will have 7 in-charge officers who will work on a 6-hours shift while the exams are ongoing. Alongside this, IIT Delhi has also come up with alternative measures. This will benefit students of remote areas finding difficulty to reach exam centres.

Candidates are allowed to carry identity proofs, admit card, transparent water bottles and pens, an additional copy of a photograph and personal hand sanitisers.

Students have to drop their admit cards and rough sheets after displaying to examiners in the nearest dropbox. If students do not leave behind their admit cards and rough sheets, action can be taken against them and charged with disqualification.
