New Delhi: IMT Hyderabad has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Wipro Limited to launch a joint PGDM program in IT. The program will be offered to interested and eligible candidates from the upcoming academic session.
Under this initiative, IMT Hyderabad and Wipro Limited will design and deliver a joint PGDM program to students which will aim at creating future business leaders with expertise in various domains of the IT industry.
Talking about the MoU, Dr K Sriharsha Reddy, Director, and Professor, IMT Hyderabad shared that sustainability, hygiene, digitization and the service sector make up 60 per cent of the Indian economy. The institute is one of the top leaders in IT, E-Commerce and Healthcare field.
Addressing the event, Rahul Bhattacharyya, Head, B-School Campus Hiring and Engagement in India, Wipro Limited shared with students the five key habits required in business, which are Being Respectful, Being Responsive, Always Communicating, Demonstrating Stewardship and Building Trust.
"Mr Sudip Guha, Oracle Practice Head at Wipro Limited, spoke about the significance of teamwork as it brings success to customers and the service provider. He suggested that the students be updated with the certifications required in their corporate journey”, the official website reads.
After this, the ceremony moved ahead with the round of questions and answers to the Wipro team by the students of IMT Hyderabad. Prof. (Dr) K Vinay Kumar and Prof. (Dr) Surajit Ghosh Dastidar also expressed their gratitude to the Wipro team for partnering with IMT Hyderabad.
Mr Prakash Pathak, Head of Corporate Relations shared the vote of thanks to all guests and shared that “IMT Hyderabad and Wipro Limited, one of the market leaders of the IT sector, is moving from working together to collaborating for building something new together”.
