New Delhi: After a delay of two years, IMT Ghaziabad held a two-day Convocation Event on its campus. After having to postpone it for two years due to the pandemic, IMT Ghaziabad held this prestigious gathering on October 15 and 16, 2022. 

The ceremony was attended by India's corporate magnates and notable leaders from the social and medical sectors.Dr. Naresh Trehan, Chairman & Managing Director, Medanta- The Medicity, is a prominent cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgeon.

The Medicity served as the Chief Guest on Day 1 of the yearly convocation of IMT Ghaziabad. On the second day of the Convocation, the Chief Guest was Vikram S. Kirloskar, Chairman and Managing Director of Kirloskar Systems Private Limited and Vice Chairman of Toyota Kirloskar Motors Private Limited. 

Shri Kamal Nath, former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh and chief mentor at IMT Ghaziabad, greeted the students virtually.

Based on the official announcement, more than 1,000 graduates from PGDM Batch 2018- 2020 ; 2019- 2021 ; 2020- 2022; PGDMPT Batch 2016-2019 ; 2017-2020 ; 2018- 2021 ; 2019-2022; and PGDMEx Batch 2018 - 2020, 2019 - 2021, 2020 - 2022 received their degrees at the convocation ceremony.

The Institution presented 18 Gold medal and 18 Silver medal winners from the classes of 2020, 2021, and 2022 at the IMT G campus during the two-day convocation ceremony.

Dr. Naresh Trehan, Chairman and Managing Director of Medanta - The MediCity, encouraged the students, "The storm has not arrived to kill you, but to allow you to soar higher. 

You will confront obstacles, but you will grow as a result." Dr. Trehan presented his motivational narrative and imparted his life motto: "Always use misfortune to your benefit." 

Through his narrative, he illustrated the significance of hard effort, knowledge, and perseverance in achieving excellence. "There are no geniuses, but you all can become one!"

On the second day of the ceremony, Vikram S. Kirloskar, Chairman and Managing Director of Kirloskar Systems Private Limited and Vice Chairman of Toyota Kirloskar Motors Pvt. Ltd., addressed the distinguished audience. 

Shri Kirloskar, a committed engineer with 41 years of experience, underlined the transformation of the consumer market from tolerance to competency in all facets of business today. 

He underlined that aspiring executives must respect all business disciplines and that "quality is essential for India to become a powerhouse." He also urged the young graduates to focus on the impending climate change catastrophe for a better world in the future, without forgetting to enjoy themselves along the way.

Shri Kamal Nath, President and Chief Mentor of IMT Ghaziabad, gave a motivating speech to the students. "Compassion, resiliency, and perseverance are the essential characteristics children must retain throughout their life. 

He says, “In today's dynamic environment, you need microscopic and telescopic eyesight. You are on the cusp of putting your knowledge into practise in the real world."

Dr. Vishal Talwar, Director of IMT Ghaziabad, spoke to the students, alumni, and members of the IMT family attending the Grand convocation programme and stated, "Every household would have a tale to tell that garnered accomplishment and shared the tenacious essence of the human spirit today.”

He continued, “I am delighted to announce that the AASCB gold standard has reaccredited IMT after overcoming all of the pandemic's hurdles. Several reputable global rating agencies have ranked us as number one. The transformation of IMT Ghaziabad will continue.”
