New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar has scheduled a series of events for five days, from February 21 to 25, 2023. The first day of foundation week celebrations will perceive “Vigyan Samagam '' powered by an NGO of IIT Ropar named “Pehchan-Ek Safar”.
As per IIT Ropar, this will be the first of its kind exhibition showcasing science projects to the students of government school followed by interactive sessions involving students.
The institute has recently developed an innovative green technology named air nanobubble, which claims that it can reduce the quantity of water in the textile sector up to 90%. The laboratory reports suggest that the air nanobubble dispersed in water can reduce the consumption of water, chemical dosage by 90 to 95% which ultimately saves 90% of the energy consumption as well, said Neelkanth Nirmalkar who has invented this technology.
The founder of green technology also said that the innovation is based on nanobubbles of air and ozone. The bubbles are hydrophobic in nature due to which it interacts better than water with the fabric and also distributes chemicals and dyes in the fabric much more efficiently than water. The size of these bubbles are equivalent to 1/10000th times of the human hair.
