IIT Palakkad has organised a two days course on Marine Robotics sponsored by Science and Engineering research board, from 22nd Jan 2022 to 23rd Jan 2022 which will be conducted online.
With the IIT Palakkad Marine Robotic program, students will be able to model and analyse various marine robots. They will also gain the necessary skills for designing motion control methods.
Marine robotics is a rapidly expanding field that includes everything from existing manned and unmanned systems with nascent navigation and control algorithms to self-powered autonomous underwater vehicles operating in transoceanic terrains.
Marine robotics as a field is designed to make a significant contribution to comprehending large-scale societal challenges by providing inexpensive advanced instruments for exploring and using the oceans on an unprecedented scale in a sustainable manner.
The goal of this course is to encourage study in these areas and to give the fundamental concepts and algorithms needed to construct autonomous marine robots in difficult situations.
The principles of underwater robotics are covered in this course, including modelling and control for autonomous operation.
The course aims to convey this research to participants from industry and academia in order for them to become acquainted with underwater robots and their motion control techniques, as well as applications.
