IIT Palakkad Technology IHub Foundation (IPTIF) is inviting Start-ups and Entrepreneurs to avail Innovation Grants worth INR 15 Lakhs. Interested candidates may submit their ideas before the stated deadline of te programs, keeping in mind aspects such as innovativeness and social impact.

This initiative by IIT Palakkad aims to help young entrepreneurs to pursue their start-up plans and promote their goals.

Winners of these events will get incubation/ mentorship support for which INR 100 crore has been granted to IIT Palakkad by the Department of Science & Technology.

The IPTIF Foundation of IIT Palakkad will organise two different programmes and interested candidates can check the brief description about both these events in the points provided below : 

Aarambh, a workshop-cum-pitch event

IPTIF in collaboration with the Technology Innovation Foundation of IIT Palakkad (TECHIN) will organise Aarambh, a workshop-cum-pitch event for Startups/ Entrepreneurs with a prize grant of INR 15 lakhs for the winners. 

Candidates can pitch their Innovative Ideas on Intelligent Collaborative System (ICS) Solutions for Safety and Energy from October 30 to November 27, 2021. Interested candidates can submit applications for this event on October 24, 2021 through the official website of this event.

Participants can also pitch multi-disciplinary ideas in the fields of machine learning, software engineering, embedded systems with both hardware and software components, robotics and other similar topics. 

The organisers of this event will evaluate the ideas pitched by participants on the basis of Innovativeness, Commercial Viability, Social Impact and Technical Competence caused by those ideas.

IIT Palakkad : Courses and Fees

Entrepreneur-In-Residence (I-EIR) Programme

The main objective of this in-residence programme is to inspire budding entrepreneurs to pursue their start-up dreams without the risks involved in the technology-oriented business. 

IPTIF has invited applications from interested start-ups/entrepreneurs for this I-EIR programme and the last date to apply is November 1, 2021.

This programme will also support budding entrepreneurs to develop ideas into marketable products and enhance the quality of start-ups. Participants will be given a monthly stipend of INR 30,000 for a total of 12 months and they will get trained by experienced engineers/entrepreneurs.

The initial shortlisting of the participating teams/individuals will be done on the eligibility to the programme. The further evaluation will be based on the qualifying factors like deniability of Idea, innovation, experience etc.
