New Delhi: The two prestigious institutes of national importance, IIT and AIIMS Jodhpur jointly hosted the first Indian conference on Medical Technologies Innovations (ICMI 2023) from February 14 to 26, 2023.
The conference was organized by the students of medical technologies programs which are jointly offered by IIT Jodhpur and AIIMS Jodhpur. It brought together the top experts of engineering, medicine, industry and innovators from around the world to explore topics, share future visions, and collaborate on the projects.
Nearly 300 students from universities throughout the nation, the MedTech sector, research organizations and incubators attended the event, including those from IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, AIIMS Delhi, and Datta Meghe University of Health Sciences Wardha. ICMI 2023 was inducted at IIT Jodhpur's club.
The collaborative MedTech programmes are innovative programmes that open up a road of invention to start off the needs from real-life problems with deep-tech solutions, according to Professor Santanu Chaudhury, Director of IIT Jodhpur. Dr. Madhabanand Kar, the executive director of AIIMS Jodhpur, praised the programmes for providing several chances for "Made in India" and praised the collaboration of engineers and physicians in developing technology for the benefit of humanity.
