New Delhi: IISc Bangalore and TalentSprint have announced a postgraduate advanced certification programme in micro and nanoelectronics . Engineers and professionals can also enrol in this IISc graduate programme through the official website.
The curriculum at IISC Bangalore is intended for professionals working in the semiconductor and very-large-scale integration (VLSI) industries, as well as for those who need in-depth semiconductor knowledge to work with any sector of the electronics industry. The department of electronics systems engineering (DESE) at IISC Bangalore, MSDLabs, created the curriculum, which provides professionals with training that is focused on the industry and vetted by specialists in semiconductors and nanotechnology.
A group directed by Mayank Shrivastava, along with researchers and subject matter experts from the MSDLabs, serve as the course instructors. The course material seeks to give students a thorough understanding of all facets of semiconductor technology, the fundamentals of VLSI design, and micro- and nanoelectronics.
The field of micro and nanoelectronics is the facilitator of next-generation semiconductor technologies, which are at the core of today's faster, sleeker, lighter, and more energy-efficient systems, according to IISc Bangalore, the program's director. This also forms the basis of emerging quantum and neuromorphic technology. This is the ideal time for professionals to gain a thorough understanding of designing, modelling, characterising, and developing semiconductor technology and take advantage of the exciting opportunities that this industry offers, keeping in mind the enormous potential of this constantly expanding field. The semiconductor industry will soon be worth $1 trillion, so one must not pass up this chance.
Santanu Paul, CEO and managing director of TalentSprint, commented on the program's potential by saying, "IISc has created state-of-the-art laboratories for Nanoelectronics research. The manufacturing of electrical gadgets could undergo a radical change thanks to this technology, making them faster, smaller, and more energy-efficient. We are optimistic that this programme will produce outliers for the semiconductor industry under the direction and mentorship of renowned IISc faculty.
