New Delhi : Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE), Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, invites online applications from interested Indian students for admission to the Ph.D. programme in the fields of engineering, technology, and science for the academic year 2022–2023 (Spring Semester).

The Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE) now provides 4-year B.Tech. programmes in Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Engineering based on JEE (Advanced) ranks as well as Ph.D. programmes in Engineering, Technology, and Science for the academic year 2022–2023.

The institute recently starts registration for PhD programmes. Admissions are based on the academic results and entrance test followed by Interview.

Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy PhD Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria

• After passing the GATE exam with a continuous First Class/ division, the applicant must have earned a Master's degree (M.Tech/ MS/ ME/ M.Sc) in engineering or technology, or a degree equivalent to any of the above in a relevant topic (55% or 6.0 CGPA for ST/SC).

• A bachelor's degree (B.Tech/BE) in engineering or technology, or a degree equivalent thereto, must be held by the applicant. The degree must have a consistent first class or division, a minimum of 60% in the subject area, or a minimum 6.5 CGPA on a scale of 10 points (55% or 6.0 CGPA for ST/SC).

• A master's degree (M.Sc., M.Tech., MS, or ME) in science or a related field is required, as is a degree equivalent thereto in a relevant topic with a minimum of 60% marks or a minimum of 6.5 CGPA on a scale of 10 points (55% or 6.0 CGPA for ST/SC).

The Institute Academic Committee (IAC) recommends a candidate's admission to the PhD programme based on the following criteria:

• Written/computer examination, interview, or both

Step 3 - Before completing the form, candidates must pay the Application Fee (Non-Refundable) as detailed below.
 

Fee for Application :

• Male GN/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates: Rs 300/-
• Female GN/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates: Rs 150/-
• Rs 150/- for SC/ST candidates
• Rs 150/- for PWD applicants.
