New Delhi: IIM Ranchi, BIT Mesra, and XISS are preparing to conduct their placement camps for graduating students after the holiday season. The hiring process will begin in the second week of October and will commence till the end of December 2022.
As per the officials, IIM Ranchi, BIT Mesra, and XISS have conducted their placement sessions in online mode in the last two years due to Covid-19 pandemic situation in the country. It is likely that the placement camp for this year will also prioritise online interviews.
Officials from the placement cell have stated that despite conducting online interviews, some corporations would also visit the campus ground to recruit students. The placement camps will be held for students of the 2022–2023 academic year.
Last year, most of the students were hired by companies in the consulting and IT industries and offered placements in the manufacturing, banking, finance, and automobile industries. However, for this session, most of the participating organisations will be from the IT industry.
As per XISS Ranchi, the placement drive will be held for students of batch 2022–2023. For the placement fair, businesses from various industries have been invited to provide students with campus placement opportunities. The highest salary at XISS last year was Rs 20 lakh.
For 2022-23 session, the graduating students of BIT Mesra students will join the campus drive and companies will start visiting for placement in October 2022. month. The institute recorded 40 percent offers from the IT industry and 25 percent from the consulting industry.
The BIT Mesra Placement camp hosted last year recorded a total of 235 companies on the campus ground. The highest offer in BIT Mesra's campus placement for the most recent academic year, 2021–2022, was INR 59 lakhs. The typical salary stood at INR 11 LPA.
IIM Ranchi has also invited companies from other industries to participate in the placement session for its students. According to the placement coordinators, the most significant package was 32 lakh rupees last year.
