New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management, IIM Nagpur has welcomed its second batch of Executive MBA programme at its VAMNICOM, Pune satellite campus.
In order to officially inaugurate the event, the IIM Nagpur dignitaries lit the traditional lamp at the beginning of the ceremony. The Executive MBA program's innovative and unique design will provide working executives a new identity. One must continually learn and unlearn different topics to keep up with the skill sets.
Delivering the welcome address, Dr. Bhimaraya Metri, Director of IIM Nagpur, said that IIM Nagpur is quickly becoming one of the best IIMs for executive and corporate education. The institute has evolved into a comprehensive business school with its four pillars of consulting, training, teaching, and research. He also emphasised the importance of longevity of learning for leaders.
The chief guest of the inaugural event was Vishal Gondhal, CEO of GOQii (pronounced Go-key), who remarked to the participants saying that entrepreneurship success requires accepting setbacks and learning to live with them. The ability to suggest answers depends on being close to the people and comprehending their concerns.
Despite being a college dropout, Vishal has achieved success by integrating his passion of gaming with other health management products. In order to keep up with the evolving skill sets of the modern world, he encouraged the students to approach their bodies as hardware and their minds as software. He also recommended doing team sports to learn to accept mistakes in the entrepreneurial sector.
According to Dr. Hema Yadav, Director of VAMNICOM Pune, the collaboration between VAMNICOM and IIM Nagpur, is a fantastic opportunity for mutual interest and will allow both institutes to grow together.
Addressing the new Executive MBA batch, she said that VAMNICOM focuses on enhancing the quality of lives of the agricultural community and managers. Further, cooperative management is a way for everyone to progress together and promote socio economic growth.
The guest of honour during the event was Ashim Patil, MD and CEO of i-TEK, who gave his keynote speech saying that patience, endurance, spiritualism, and staying ahead of the curve are the important principles to becoming a great entrepreneur.
He shared a tale from his life to the participants and demonstrated how to address social challenges by making a ground-breaking contribution to products involving RFID and NFC technology.
Moreover, he added that an easy and efficient operating method is the key to a proposed solution's success. Congratulating the new varied and experienced batch for the following stage of career advancement, Dr. Alok Kumar Singh, Chair of the Executive MBA programme, stated that in order to thrive in this game-changing programme and become a successful management professional, one should be a good listener.
