New Delhi: IIM Nagpur has launched two new scholarships program, IIM Nagpur merit scholarship and the IIM Nagpur Need-cum-Merit scholarship to provide a complete tuition fee waiver to students of Postgraduate Program (PGP) under the academic session 2022-24.

As per IIM Nagpur, the scholarship will aim to offer financial support to those students who wish to pursue their higher education from the top b-school and are unable to pay their tuition fee. With this objective, the two new scholarships will be functioning from the academic year 2023. 

Informing about IIM Nagpur scholarship, the official website reads, "With the aim to encourage meritorious students and the students from economically weaker backgrounds to pursue PGP (Full Time) programme at IIM Nagpur, the institute has initiated 2 different scholarships".

In addition to the two new scholarship programs titled “IIM Nagpur Merit Scholarship” and “IIM Nagpur Need-cum-Merit Scholarship’, the institute also provides scholarships offered by the central government, state governments, and private organizations. 

Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for professional and technical courses, Chief Minister Fellowship Yojana (CMFY) Jharkhand, Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship to Scheduled Caste (SC) students, Maharashtra etc are among others scholarships offered by the institute.

So far, IIM Nagpur provides 20 students with scholarship benefits, of which 10 are merit scholarships and 10 are need-cum-merit scholarships. Students are required to meet the eligibility criteria mentioned by the institute to get financial support from these scholarships. 

The merit scholarship of IIM Nagpur is open to candidates who have secured at least 95 percentile or above in Common Admission Test (CAT), while the need-cum-merit scholarship is for candidates with a family income less than INR 5 lakh.

The institute informed, “Candidates selected for the scholarship will receive a complete waiver for the tuition fee for the two-year programme. This policy is applicable from the 2022-24 batch”. For more details regarding the scholarship programs, candidates can visit iimnagpur.ac.in.
