New Delhi: Laboratory for Innovation Venturing and Entrepreneurship (LIVE) of IIM Kozhikode has recently collaborated with International Financial Services Centers Authority (IFSCA) to boost startups in the financial sector in India.
The agreement between IIM Kozhikode, LIVE and IFSCA was signed in the presence of Professor Rajesh Upadhyayula, Executive Director of IIMK LIVE and Joseph Joshy, Chief Technology Officer of IFSCA on the campus ground.
Under this collaboration, IFSCA and LIVE will aim to launch a fintech accelerator program titled “FINN X”. The program’s main objective will be to provide support to FinTech startups in the country.
Informing about this initiative, the IIM Kozhikode officials shared that the participants of FINN X Accelerator program will receive mentorship, training and market access from IIMK LIVE. In addition to this, they will receive funding under the “FinTech Grant” scheme of IFSCA.
The financial technology startups registered with IIMK LIVE can list on global exchange markets in order to raise their finances. Both parties will also occasionally work together on educational programs, global hackathons, and FinTech events.
Speaking on this occasion, Professor Debashis Chatterjee Chairman, Board of Governors, IIMK LIVE and Director IIM Kozhikode said “This collaboration with IIMK LIVE and IFSCA is phenomenal. IIMK LIVE and IFSCA can provide mentorship, market access, and funding support to FinTech startups”.
“Our Innovation Center LIVE has scripted transitions for many successful early-stage startups, and we forecast a new emphasis on 'innovation' in the finance sector as a result of this game-changing collaboration”, he further added.
