New Delhi: Adding another feather in its cap, IIM Jammu has signed a MoU with the internationally renowned Estonian Business School, Estonia for Academic & Research Exchange on March 17, 2023 (Saturday).
The MoU was signed by Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, and Prof. Meelis Kitsing, Rector, Estonian Business School, Estonia in online mode.
The MoU with Estonian Business School, according to Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director of IIM Jammu, is a move in the right direction towards incorporating the top research and teaching techniques from the world's top B-Schools. He claims that these partnerships are an essential component of IIM Jammu's international initiatives and they will support the development of teaching, research, and cultural understanding as well as the reputation of both institutes abroad through programmes for student and faculty exchange, technology transfer, and research. I have no doubt that the two Institutes' cooperation will produce worthwhile results that are in the interests of the stakeholders.
A brief overview of the Estonian Business School was provided by Prof. Meelis Kitsing, Rector of the institution. She also mentioned that the collaboration between the two institutes will help both of them advance their expertise in a number of crucial areas, such as the creation of training and educational programmes, long-term planning, and institutional development. The two reputable Institutions' collaboration will provide Estonia's Estonian Business School's research a competitive edge.
In his remarks, Prof. Jabir Ali, Dean Academics (IIM Jammu), gave a brief overview of the institution and mentioned that the two institutions had agreed to collaborate on projects involving faculty and student exchange, joint management development programmes, executive education programmes, organizing joint conferences, and more. He said that cooperation between the two Institutions will produce results that matter to the stakeholders and clear the way for long-term growth and development.
The MoU will make it easier for both Schools to collaborate on things like joint management development programmes, executive education programmes, conferences, joint research programmes, and more. During the presentation, a virtual tour of the cutting-edge permanent campus was also presented. Dr. Sarbjit Singh, Chairperson of International Relations, and Dr. Somu Gorai, Co-Chairperson of International Relations, both at IIM Jammu organized the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding. The signing of the MoU came to a successful conclusion with an agreement to move forward quickly by setting up joint online meetings for the teachers and students at both Institutes.
