New Delhi: IIM Calcutta has concluded the placement drive for its flagship MBA program students with 573 offers. The placement session was completed on February 24, 2023, in which students were offered an average annual salary package of up to INR 35.07 lakh.

As per IIM Calcutta, the institute secured 573 offers for every student in its 58th MBA batch. The media compensation offered to students for this session stood at INR 33.06 lakh, while the top 25 percentile of students received an average yearly salary of INR 50.86 lakh.

Following the IIM Calcutta Placement 2023 data, the highest number of offers were made in the Consulting sector (232 offers), followed by the finance sector with 86 offers. These two sectors comprise 55% of total offers made in the placement drive.

Offers in consulting and finance sector were made by A91 Partners, BNP Paribas, Franklin Templeton, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, Macquarie Group, Nomura, Accenture Strategy, Bain & Co, Boston Consulting Group, Kearney and McKinsey & Co among other recruiters

For this session, students received 52 offers from Sales & Marketing and 82 offers from General Management firms, which contributed to 23.4% of the total offers. Offers were made by Aditya Birla Group, Tata Administrative Services and Vedanta among other recruitment agencies.

In addition to this, a total of 18.2 percent of job offers were made by Software services and e-commerce brands including Amazon, Adobe, Flipkart, Microsoft, Navi, Paytm, Salesforce, and Zomato.

The IIM Calcutta MBA Placement 2023 drive followed a cluster-cohort process with the aim to offer all firms recruiters of the cluster an equal opportunity to interview. The process was conducted in hybrid mode (both online and offline) for IIM Calcutta MBA program students.
