New Delhi: Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, popularly known as IIIT Basara, has concluded its final placements for the academic year 2022-23, where a B.Tech graduate has managed to acquire a job worth INR 64 lakhs per annum.

Earlier, IIIT Basara recorded 74. 07% of placements during the academic year 2020-21, with a total of 594 students being placed in top-notch companies for prominent roles. The CSE branch placed the highest number of students with 88 male and 110 female students. 

Likewise, this year too, Nikhil Thangellapally from the CSE branch managed to grab the glistering pay package worth INR 64 lakh.

According to the latest reports, Nikhil Thangellapally is all set to start working for a prominent position in Madrid, Spain for the E-commerce giant, Amazon. He is a 21-year-old student of IIIT Basara's computer science programme , who belongs to a small town in Kothagudem.

Coming from a humble background, Nikhil aced the interview in May, where he revealed that getting a job in Amazon is a dream come true. 

He added that his mother is a homemaker, while his father is a LIC agent. Although his family encountered several difficulties during the pandemic covid-19, he focused on securing this position because that is what he desired. 

Nikhil, who hails from Mutyalampadu in Tekulapally mandal, described his struggle to land his dream job. He said that he applied to over 40 teams of the company around the world, cracked the first round of interviews, after which he was hired.

He said that it was over a year and a half long process that he started by brushing up on his skills before applying to several companies.

Earlier, this year, in February, after submitting applications to nearly 40 teams, he received responses from two teams asking him to complete an online assessment. 

Nikhil, who also utilised LinkedIn to interact with Amazon employees, said that he was able to join one of the teams at this stage and eventually made it through the interview in May. 

“The whole village, my college, everyone, is happy for my achievement. For my family, this is huge as I will be the first one going abroad,” he said. IIIT Basara felicitated Nikhil

Further, Nikhil said that it is a big deal for his family, as he'll be the first member to travel abroad and that everyone in his village and college were thrilled for his huge success. Lately, IIIT Basara congratulated Nikhil for his massive achievement.
