Bengaluru: Amid the pandemic, reopening schools seems like a challenge even though the government has given the nod to schools to reopen on January 01, 2021.

Despite this, some schools remained closed until the 4th and were supposed to open on Monday. Schools are not willing to reopen and rely on the much efficient new normal online classes and to address the students from online video conferences.

They had to go through thermal screenings, wear marks, and sanitize their hands. Nonetheless, these measures were for the safety of students and staff, this added up to their fear and excuse to not attend the classes.

With online classes being an alternative very few students and their parents are willing to let their children go to schools. And those who did go to school premises have their own narratives which usually compile as cold and not satisfactory.

Put together, even though the government and the administration are working towards making normal life easier, the fear of getting the virus has bested them.
