ICSE and ISC Term 2 Exam 2022 Dates to be Announced after JEE Main Notification

CISCE had announced that it would conduct the ICSE and ISC Term 2 Board Exam 2022 from the last week of April. The Council is yet to announce any further notification regarding that or the datesheet.

Earlier, CISCE official circular had informed that the timetables would be announced shortly. “This will provide schools sufficient time to both complete and revise semester 2 portions of the bifurcated and reduced syllabus”, as stated regarding the exam dates announced by CISCE”, as stated by the circular.

Meanwhile, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is most likely to announce the registration and exam dates of JEE Main 2022 on the official website soon. Unlike 2021, this year, the exam will be conducted twice- in March and May.

Last year, JEE Main was conducted in 4 phases given the third wave of COVID-19 pandemic. However, this year, situation is considerably better. Hence, it has been agreed that two tries would be helpful.

CISCE to Conduct Pre-Board Exams in March-April 2022

Along with this, the Board further proposed schools to conduct the Semester 2 Pre-Board exams only after they complete coverage of the total syllabus as well as revision is done thoroughly. The Board decided to set the timeline between March end and April for commencement of the Pre-Board Exams.

The CISCE Term 2 Exams will be on 50% of the entire syllabus. The Term 1 exam was conducted on the remaining 50% syllabus. The overall syllabus was reduced 25-30% due to the immense loss of instruction hours, caused by COVID 19 pandemic. The final results will be based on the marks received at the Semester 1 and 2 Exams, internal exams and practical exam scores.
