New Delhi: The Indian Certificate Of Secondary Education (ICSE) has witnessed a better pass percentage in Class 10th results comparing the previous results obtained in the pandemic years. 

ICSE 10th Results 2022: Board Recorded Highest Pass Percentage Since Pandemic

The pass percentage in ICSE Class 10 exam has continued to be better than the pre-pandemic years with almost 99.97 percent of the candidates cracking the exam this year. 

ICSE board has announced the Class 10 Results 2022 for the second semester on July 17, 2022. While the pass percentage in 2021 was 99.98 percent, it was 99.97 percent this year. 

However, the Class 10th results 2022 were announced based on an alternative assessment scheme as the exams were not conducted due to the pandemic. 

Earlier in 2020, the class 10th exams had to be suspended in the middle due to the declaration of a statewide lockdown to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

In 2020 and 2021, the board had not released any merit lists. The pass percentage was 98.54 percent in 2019 compared to 98.51 percent in 2018.

The overall pass percentage of some previous years’ for ICSE class 10 board exams are tabulated below.

It is the first time in the history of the board that the CISCE had conducted two examinations in a single examination year for the academic year 2021-22. The first semester was held in November-December 2021, while the second semester was concluded in April-May 2022 for Classes 10 and 12. 

It can be noted that this year, the final score was computed using the combined marks from the two semesters.
