ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, Deemed to be University, has recently launched two five-year duration integrated programs in the field of BBA-MBA and BCom-MBA and a three-year undergraduate program in data science for all interested candidates to apply.
ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education courses which will be offered at the Bengaluru campus from the academic year 2021-2022 to all eligible candidates are five-year duration BBA-MBA and BCom-MBA programs and one three-year BSc Data Analytics program.
ICFAI Business School (IBS) has received permission from the government for setting up its campus in Bangalore from 2021. The off-campus will work with the Hyderabad campus in order to offer a quality educational experience to students.
Talking about the launch, J Mahender Reddy, Vice-Chancellor, ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education said, “program focus will be on communication skills, critical thinking, interpersonal skills and a good understanding of the domain knowledge with a focus on applications to the real world”.
"To sum up, this off-campus center has the necessary infrastructure, faculty, and good leadership to help the future students of this center to achieve excellence in their chosen field and develop themselves into well-rounded personalities ready for a successful career" he further added.
ICFAI Program 2021 Highlights
As per the statement, the university will create a suitable program chart for managing the Academic Banking Credits (ABC). The chart will provide academic credits for students who are seeking admission at level two or three of various programs.
Academic Bank of Credit was first introduced as a part of National Education Policy 2020. Under the policy students who wish to leave their program in the middle will be able to receive certificates for the same in accordance with their academic credits.
To admission to all three programs launched by ICFAI; BBA-MBA, BCom-MBA, and BSc Data Analytics program, students are required to meet the eligibility criteria released by the university.
- For BBA-MBA and BCom-MBA Program: Class 12th students with a minimum of 50% can apply. Students must have completed their education from an English-medium background.
- For BSc Data Analytics: Students who have completed their class 12th and have studied maths are eligible to apply for the program.
ICFAI's Courses 2021 will be offered to students with multiple exit options. Students who wish to apply for a five-year duration program at ICFAI will have the option to exit the program after the third year.
After leaving the BBA or B.Com degree program in the third year, students will be awarded their degrees by The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (Deemed-to-be University), Hyderabad.
Referring to the initiative of ICFAI, the official statement reads, “the data analytics course is divided into six semesters and three levels and students can exit after any".
"Those who successfully complete the first can exit with a certificate; those exiting after the second get a diploma and those who complete all three years earn a BSc degree. Students can also enter this program at the start of any level provided “they have the required credits from other universities” the statement further reads.
