NTA has released the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the detailed guidelines that need to be followed on the ICAR 2020 exams. 

ICAR AIEEA UG 2020 examination will commence from September 16 and subsequently on September 17 and 22, 2020. 

Abiding by the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, issued for the safe conduct of examination during COVID-19 pandemic, the National Testing Agency (NTA), ICAR AIEEA will first conduct the UG entrance exam.

Collective precautions

Candidates will have to sanitize the hand and go through a thermal check-up during the entry. Social distancing will be strictly followed maintaining a minimum of 6 feet of Physical distance between all the candidates. 

All candidates must wear face masks all the time. All candidates will be provided fresh masks and will have to replace used ones. Generic Respiratory protocol to be strictly followed like coughing and sneezing with mouths covered. Aargoya setu app is a must for all.

Responsibility of exam centers

Reporting time will be allotted to candidates at the exam center itself. Different slots will be allotted to students and candidates must reach the exam center as per the allotted slot for smooth conduct of the examination.

Students approaching from containment zones or are showing COVID-19 symptoms

There will be dedicated rooms designated at the exam centers for isolation of the candidates having COVID-19 symptoms. Also, Candidates from containment zones will not be allowed at the exam center and alternatively will have to take the exam later on through other means as the authorities decide.

Self-Declaration Form

Due to COVID-19, aspirants and conducting bodies have to submit self-declaration about health status at the time of entrance to the examination center. For NTA held examinations like ICAR the self-declaration form is generated along with the admit card which will be accepted only when filled at the exam hall.

Permissible items at the exam center

 Aspirants need to carry the admit card along with a self-declaration as issued with the admit card, masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, transparent water bottle. PwD certificate is mandatory for Persons with a disability. 

All non-permissible items must be placed outside the exam center. On completion of the exam, candidates have to exit the center following social distancing norms. Candidates will not be allowed inside the exam center once the gates are closed.

Seating provision

 All candidates will be seated at gaps enough to follow the social distancing guidelines. The room capacity is restricted following the guidelines issued by NTA. As, in NEET 2020, per room had 12 students and 2 invigilators.

Dress Code

 Candidates must wear light color half sleeves T-shirts and trousers with fewer pockets. The use of belts, jewelry, and other metallic items must be avoided by students for any mishaps. Though NTA has not specified anything in particular.

 NTA will also hold the ICAR PG entrance exam and the JRF/SRF(Ph.D.) 2020 on September 23, 2020. The same procedure shall also be followed for higher-level entrance exams.
