IACS Kolkata PhD Admission 2023: Eligibility, Selection Process

To apply for admission to IACS Kolkata PhD Program 2023, candidates are required to meet the below-mentioned criteria: 

• Candidates must be an Indian citizen
• Candidate must have a Master's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline from a recognized university
• They must have at least 55% or equivalent in the master's program.
• For SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-abled and other categories 50% marks are necessary.
• Minimum eligibility criteria as per UGC rule.
• Candidates must be qualified in UGC-NET/CSIR-NET/GATE/JEST/equivalent national level examination.
• Admissions will be done on the basis of merit, i.e., academic record
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test and/or interview for the final selection.
• Applicants must note that merely satisfying the eligibility criteria does not guarantee that a candidate will be shortlisted for an interview.

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for IACS Kolkata PhD Admission 2023 by submitting their applications to Academic Office, IACS phdcell_iacs@iacs.res.in along with the filled-up Excel file. 

The application form is available on the official university website at iacs.res.in. The required documents should be sent together by email to the academic office by April 23, 2023, with the subject line as “PhD Program, IACS Autumn Semester 2023″

The official notice reads, "Exact date and time of Admission Test/or Interview for each School will be announced on the IACS website. For further information in this regard, please contact Academic Office (Phone: 24734971; Extn: 2215, Email: phdcell_iacs@iacs.res.in)".
