Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB), which announced the provisional answer key for the GUJCET exams, has decided to award two marks to English-medium students and one to Gujarati-and Hindi-medium candidates.
In the case of English-medium candidates, the Board had made mistakes on two issues of one mark each for the first question paper, which brought together the subjects of physics and chemistry, according to the sources.

For Gujarati-and Hindi-medium students, a single mark error occurred in the combined physics and chemistry question paper. As a result, these marks were awarded to students in advance while releasing the answer key, according to the sources.
Students can calculate their marks before announcing the results on the basis of the provisional answer key released. If candidates find any question with the answer key, they may submit a report to the Board by September 01, 2020.

The questions were in MCQ format and the duration for each subject was one hour.
The state-level entrance exam is held annually for science students seeking admission to degree engineering and pharmacy courses in government, grant-in-aid and self-funded engineering institutions in Gujarat.
At a time when many states are in a dilemma about holding entrance exams like JEE and NEET, Gujarat has successfully conducted GUJCET along with Class XII and Class X supplementary exams in pen and paper format, Minister of State Education Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said on Friday.
