IIT Kharagpur has extended the last date for GATE 2022 Registration. The candidates who meet GATE 2022 eligibility criteria can now register for GATE 2022 till September 30, 2021. Earlier, the deadline to register for GATE 2022 was extended to September 28, 2021, however due to technical difficulties, it has been further extended. GATE 2022 is scheduled to be conducted on February 5, 6, 12, and 13, 2022. The aspirants of GATE 2022 are advised to visit the official website and complete their application process before the extended deadline. The candidates who wish to apply for GATE 2022 need to keep in mind that they have to mention their name exactly as in the photo ID they have provided. How to register for GATE 2022?
Given below is the detailed procedure that the candidates need to follow to register for GATE 2022.
- Visit the official website.
- Locate and click on the GATE 2022 Registration link
- Enter your details.
- Click on the submit button.
- Enter your personal and educational details.
- Submit the GATE 2022 application fee and click on the final submission link
- Take the printout of the receipt for future reference.
Documents required for GATE 2022 Registrations
The following documents are required for GATE 2022.
- Address for Communication (including PIN code).
- Eligibility degree details.
- College name and address with PIN code.
- GATE paper(s) (subject).
- THREE Choices of GATE examination cities.
- High-quality image of candidate's photograph conforming to the requirements specified.
- Good quality image of candidate's signature conforming to the requirements specified.
- Scanned copy of Category (SC/ST) certificate (if applicable) in pdf format.
- Scanned copy of PwD Certificate (if applicable) in pdf format.
- Scanned copy of Certificate of Dyslexia (if applicable) in pdf format.
- Scanned copy of any one of the valid photo Identity Document: Aadhaar-UID (preferable), Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID and Driving License. The same ID, in original, MUST be carried to the examination hall.
- Net-banking/debit card/credit card/UPI details for fee payment.
GATE 2022 is a national-level examination. It is conducted every year by IISc Banglore and seven IITs on behalf of NCB-GATE. The candidates appear for the exam for admissions to postgraduate engineering (ME/ M.Tech) or research courses at top colleges in India such as IITs, NITs, IIITs, etc., and for PSU recruitment.
