Undergraduate Programmes (Only for candidates having domicile of Punjab or Union Territory of Chandigarh)
B.V.Sc. and A.H. 5-year Programme
Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognized Board/University with at least 50% marks in aggregate (40% marks in aggregate for SC/ST, BC & Kashmiri Migrant categories) excluding optional subject
B.F.Sc (Bachelor of Fisheries Science): 4-year Programme
Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognized Board/University with at least 50% marks in aggregate (40% marks in aggregate for SC/ST, BC & Kashmiri Migrant categories) excluding optional subject
B.Tech (Dairy Technology): 4-year Programme
Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English from a recognized Board/University with at least 50% marks in aggregate (40% marks in aggregate for SC/ST, BC & Kashmiri Migrant categories) excluding optional subject
Nominees from other states for two seats (additional seat) where College of Dairy Science & Technology does not exist
Postgraduate Programmes:
M.V.Sc.: Animal Genetics & Breeding, Animal Nutrition, Livestock Production Management, Livestock Products Technology, Veterinary Anatomy, Veterinary Biochemistry, Veterinary Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Microbiology, Veterinary Parasitology, Veterinary Pathology, Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology, Veterinary Physiology, Veterinary Public Health & Epidemiology, Veterinary Surgery & Radiology and Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Extension Education
Eligibility: The minimum qualification for admission to M.V.Sc programmes in College of Veterinary Science (other than in-service candidates) shall be B.V.Sc & A.H or equivalent degree with minimum OCPA of 6.00 (out of 10.00) or at least 60% marks in aggregate
M.V.Sc/M.Sc (Animal Biotechnology)
Eligibility: The minimum qualification for admission to M.V.Sc/M.Sc. (Animal Biotechnology) programme (other than in-service candidates) shall be B.V.Sc & A.H or B.Sc (Biotechnology/Medical) or B.Sc (Hons) Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Microbiology and Molecular Genetics or equivalent degree with minimum OCPA of 6.00 (out of 10.00) or at least 60% marks in aggregate
M.F.Sc (Aquaculture, Fisheries Resource Mgmt)
Eligibility: The minimum qualification for admission to M.F.Sc programmes in the College of Fisheries (other than in-service candidates) shall be B.F.Sc (4-year degree programme) from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in aggregate
M.Tech (Dairy Technology)
Eligibility: The minimum qualification for admission to M.Tech (Dairy Technology) programme in the College of Dairy Science and Technology (other than in-service candidates) shall be B.Tech (Dairy Technology)/B.Sc Food Tech/B.Tech Food Tech (4-years degree) or equivalent degree with minimum OCPA of 6.00 (out of 10.00) or at least 60% marks in aggregate
Preference will be given to the candidate with B.Tech (Dairy Technology) degree
M.Sc (Dairy Economics)
Eligibility: The minimum qualification for admission to M.Sc (Dairy Economics) programme in the College of Dairy Science and Technology shall be B.Tech (Dairy Technology)/B.Sc Dairying/B.Sc Dairy Science/B.Sc Agri/B.Sc Agri (Hons)/B.Sc or B.A (Hons) in Economics with Mathematics as one of the subjects/B.V.Sc & A.H/B.V.Sc/B.Sc Animal Science with minimum OCPA of 6.00 (out of 10.00) or at least 60% marks in aggregate
Note:
- For inservice candidates for all Master's Programmes, the OCPA shall be 5.50 (out of 10.00) or 55% marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam
- If the M.V.Sc/M.Sc/M.F.Sc/M.Tech seats remain vacant after filling the seats from Punjab Domicile at the 1st counselling, the candidates of other States who have already applied and appeared in the interview for admission to postgraduate programmes, will be considered for admission on merit basis at the 2nd counselling

Prospectus contains detail regarding eligibility, schedule of Entrance Test/Counselling/Interview/Admission procedure, reservation of seats etc. along with application form can be obtained from the office of Registrar, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana-141004 from 09th April 2015 onwards from 09.30 am to 04.30 pm on all working days either by cash payment of Rs.1800/- at the counter or by sending Bank Draft for Rs.1900/- in favour of the Controller, GADVASU, Ludhiana
Application form for postgraduate programme can be downloaded from the University website www.gadvasu.in
Bank draft for Rs.4100/- in favour of Comntroller, GADVASU, Ludhiana should be attached with the downloaded application form for admission to Master's programme
The University will not be responsible for any postal delay or loss in the transit
