Jammu and Kashmir BTech. admissions for the year 2023 will start in the month of March 2023. The admission to the course is purely based on the Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET), a state-level exam conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (JKBOPEE). Candidates can either appear for JKCET or JEE Main to seek admission to the BTech course in Jammu and Kashmir.

The registration process for JKCET will begin on April 04, 2023, and candidates can apply till April 24, 2023.

Jammu and Kashmir BTech Admission 2023: Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate should be an Indian National.
  • The candidate should have passed the Class XII or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University. 
  • The Candidates from the Open Merit Category must have obtained at least 50% in the qualifying examination. However, there is a relaxation of 10% for reserved category candidates, i.e, 40% in aggregate.
  • The candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as their subjects.
  • Candidates who are appearing or whose results yet to be declared can also apply for admission to the course.

Jammu and Kashmir BTech Admission 2023: Counselling

The candidates whose names are enlisted in the merit list will be called for the counseling process. The Merit List will be prepared following the merit obtained in PCM subjects in Class XII and the order of choices/ options entered by the candidates in the online form.

  • Selected candidates have to report at the BOPEE offices in Jammu / Srinagar for registration/attendance & fulfillment of all formalities.
  • Candidates have to submit their original as well as photocopies of their documents for verification.

Ans. The candidates can change/ modify their online Application Form at any time before they submit it. Once the form is submitted, the entries made therein cannot be changed.
